Leading When The Stakes Are High

The stakes are higher now, the margin of error lower. The current economic circumstances have created a lack of focus at best, or at worst, a “climate of fear” for many organizations. There are rapid changes in direction, unprecedented uncertainty and ambiguity, leading to increased stress, fatigue, errors and even the breakdown of many critical systems. Sound like the aftermath of a natural disaster? It could very well be, but it also describes the challenges of our business leaders today.

In response, the need for effective leadership is crucial. It is the time when leadership teams need to step forward and deliver. Research and practical wisdom indicate that when great leadership teams align on key issues and then communicate and engage with their organization effectively, they create the focus and momentum to carry their organizations forward through challenging times.

So, how do leaders establish a Climate for Success? And, what do great leadership teams do that propels their organizations forward?

Presenters: Patrick Reilly, President, Resources in Action and Steve Krieger, President, VisionPoint Consulting Team. Patrick and Steve have extensive experience helping leaders solve business problems. Patrick Reilly holds an MA in Organizational Development. Their clients include: Applied Materials, AT&T, Boston Scientific, BZW Barclays, Charles Schwab, Cisco Systems, eBay, GE Capital, Hewlett-Packard, Kaiser Permanente, Logitech, Marriott Corporation Pacific Gas & Electric, and Wells Fargo.
