Meeting: Tuesday June 16th
E-Learning has gone mainstream. But organizations must continue to fine-tune their e-learning strategies and approaches as they face new challenges and leverage new opportunities. The most dominant trend is the impact Web 2.0 is having on every aspect of our personal and professional lives, and now on e-learning.
The very definition of e-learning is being re-shaped as this new world of non-formal learning – or Learning 2.0 - is opening up. e-Learning is becoming more than just courses-on-line as organizations look to leverage blogs & video-logs, podcasts & video-on-demand, mobile learning & rapid e-learning, games, simulations & virtual worlds, and, wikis & social networks.
It’s time to gain a perspective on the current state of e-learning and a view into what the future might look like. The goal of this lively and interactive session is to share insights, generate exchange and dialogue, and explore what's 'hot' and new as well as what's not and why.
Presenter: A featured speaker on e-Learning at the ASTD 2009 International Conference, Lance Dublin is a recognized leader in applying strategic thinking and design to revitalizing learning (individual, organizational, e-learning), implementing change, and transforming organizations.
