How do you prove the positive impact of training on performanceThis is the holy grail of training, right?

...

We want what we do to be valued by the organization as a whole and by the leaders in particular. Showing evidence of learning and how that's tied to business results goes a long way down that road.

This presentation will help learning professionals glean insight on practical yet valid ways to tell the story of learning impact. It will present an approach that is based on roughly reasonable use of evaluation data and business operations data.
Collectively this information can be used to highlight value creation, identify improvements and associate learning to business outcomes.

...

Session Topics:

  • Why training measurement is important
  • Understand evidence as opposed to proof
  • Review the types of evidence available to L&D
  • How to gather and present evidence
  • How to report, discuss, and present evidence to tell the story of program impact

High Tech versus Low Tech

If you know what to do and how to do it, you don’t need any high-tech tools to prove training impact. However, these tools exist and it’s important to understand them. So, we will take a quick look at the kinds of things analytic tools can do and the most important things you need to know about them.
