In today’s economy, leaders now face a radically altered work environment. To ensure the success of their organizations, they need to be more creative and move their staff forward. However, they’re facing some steep Challenges. According to a Towers and Perrin report, 72% of companies have reduced their workforce in response to the recession. This has led to a 24% increase in “actively disengaged” workers in companies where layoffs have occurred (Watson Wyatt’s Employee Engagement Index). As a result, one of the biggest concerns for employers is the number of workers who plan to change jobs as soon as the economy improves (ASTD).
