The Psychology of Leadership:
How to Do What Great Leaders Do
Featuring Ted Boyce

DOWNLOAD THE MEETING HANDOUT

Effectively leading and inspiring employees to perform to the best of their abilities requires more than setting expectations, directing, delegating, and enforcing policy. So, if you’ve been doing the same thing over and over and not getting the results you want, attend this presentation for some refreshing insights into human behavior that take into account the entire human being.

Specifically, this session will explore principles derived from behavioral, cognitive, and social psychology and their application to improving human performance in a business setting.  Through demonstrations, role-plays, interactive exercises, discussion, and industry-specific examples, we will examine how knowledge of human psychology can guide practical adjustments to leaders’ behaviors that will influence employee behaviors, attitudes, and outcomes in desirable ways.

HR professionals, senior managers, mid-level managers, and front-line supervisors who attend this session will leave with a dynamic understanding of human beings that will change their perspective on being a boss and improve their ability to lead both individuals and groups to achieve the results they are seeking.

Participants will learn:

  • How to reliably use a 3-step model of human behavior to both understand current behavior and motivate behavior change
  • Why and when they should give others the benefit of the doubt and how to do so
  • How to manage peer pressure and turn it to THEIR advantage
  • Why and how their thoughts affect the outcomes they get and how to manage this
