The speaker will present the common pitfalls we face; discuss the fundamentals that govern decision-making, and offer robust techniques to make better, defensible decisions.
In this interactive session, you will learn:
- That in today’s world of information overload, common-sense, experience, and intuition is not sufficient.
- Never to make any decision of consequence, without identifying relevant criteria (criteria segregation), and assigning weights in a defensible manner.
- That all decisions must be able to withstand a sensitivity analysis (N-1, Analysis)
Take-aways: Learn how to...
- Frame multi-dimensional real-world problems
- Recognize the hidden traps that frequently lead us to behave irrationally and why we fail in making optimum decisions.
- Reduce risk exposure by:
-
- Validating decisions
- Evaluating the decision's sensitivity to human bias or a changing environment
- Apply a scientific process to decision-making:
-
- Identify relevant criteria
- Segregate the criteria
- Assign criteria weights using the Analytic Hierarchy Process
- Make better decisions than 95%+ of your peers.
