The board consists of uncompensated, volunteer chapter
leaders who donate their time and effort to support the chapter and its mission of strengthening the skills, knowledge, and professionalism of those who work in Learning and Development, and the broader range of specialties that support Organizational Effectiveness more generally as illustrated in the ATD Competency Model.
Joe has over twenty years experience in Corporate Training & HR Service, serving in Director roles at large corporations. Joe is a corporate learning consultant and business communications coach. He also works in higher education as a teacher and advisor. He is a gifted facilitator and curriculum designer who holds an Master's degree in Education, Bachelor's in Broadcast Communications, a degree in music, plus over a dozen professional certifications that include sales, leadership, facilitation, change management, instructional design, web-based design, Agile/Lean project development, a graduate certificate from U.C. After graduating from the University of California Davis, Hayley worked in the United States Peace Corps in Burkina Faso, West Africa for 27 months. She served in a small, rural village with no running water or electricity. Hayley worked with the local village clinic, assisting in initiatives targeting prenatal healthcare, vaccinations, malnutrition, malaria, and HIV/AIDS for the surrounding eight villages. Currently, Hayley works at the corporate headquarters of L.N. Curtis & Sons in Oakland. The company is the premier distributor of firefighting and first responder equipment in the United States. Hayley is developing and implementing new onboarding and professional development programs for the company. Ravi Sodhi, Strategy
Ravi Sodhi - Collaboration Architect Ravi has led strategic change initiatives and organizational transformation programs in business, entrepreneurial and community based organizations. His specific knowledge encompasses telecommunications, IT, program management as well as health care, innovation and the digital economy. With SCORE, he has developed The Winning Business Plan and Launching Successful eBiz workshops. He has taught, mentored and counselled over 1000 SMB owners and entrepreneurs. During 2010-2011 he conducted over 40 workshops on ethnic marketing, business law and business marketing, customer experience design, entrepreneurship, neuroscience, social media marketing, smart grid and collaboration strategies. Cheryl Conti, Secretary
After having an “ah-ha moment” while conducting a product training at a customer site Cheryl decided to join the wonderful world of learning and development. Cheryl’s past experience includes work at a Fortune 500 company where her primary responsibilities included new hire onboarding and continuous performance improvement. Cheryl has expertise in developing blended learning solutions including eLearning and instructor-led training. She is a skilled workshop facilitator who enjoys classroom interactions and activities that increase knowledge, performance and productivity. Cheryl holds a BS in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento. Cheryl is new to ATD East Bay and is excited about her role as VP of Professional Development. She encourages chapter members to contact her regarding meeting topics they would find beneficial.
Lilianna Taylor, Marketing
Lilianna is the principal consultant at Taylor Performance and Organizational Learning (TPOL), a consulting company specializing in the performance improvement and learning solution design. Her experience spans across many industries, including publishing, hospitality, academia, insurance, and the utility companies. Lilianna’s capability to successfully develop and manage projects, clients, virtual and on-site teams, and evaluate learning programs, makes her a great learning and development business partner. She offers services to individual clients and organizations. Some of Lilianna's highlights consist of presenting at the Masi conference a high tech solution she developed to shorten the ID development cycle, and was the recipient of the Innovative Designer of the Year Award.
Lilianna holds a BA in Political Science from University of California, Berkeley, and MA in Educational Technologies, from San Francisco State University, and speaks five languages. She is certified Training Manager and Facilitation Leader. Lilianna also practices Tai Chi incorporating her skills as a Certified Acupressure Practitioner.
